The system can be comprised of several elements:
- Conveyor – the roller conveyor that moves the boxes/totes
- Software control – making the parts ‘intelligent’ to start/stop/divert and other operations
- Integration to a business systems – integrating orders, despatch, reports and other information between systems
- Incline and decline conveyor – to go between floors or other areas
- Spiral conveyor – to move boxes/totes between floors in a small space
- Picking system – order picking systems with picking scanners to fulfil orders
- Automated document drop – drop documents automatically into a box/tote. These can be pick notes or other printed information
- Print and apply – automatically adding labels to the boxes, either routing barcodes or shipping labels
Warehouse management system – integrating with the warehouse management system to be part of the order picking, goods in, despatch solution
